Burnt Offerings (on going)
'Burnt offerings’ are sculptures that explore what is brought forth by fire and then repaired. Like the alchemist, the symbolic language of the 'fire' mirrors the phenomenology of inner experience. 'Blessed are the poor in spirit' represents the ability of the artist to stay in creative process with areas of doubt, uncertainty and unknowing - always remaining close to the fire. ‘Enduring love' represents the triumph of love over the feeling that the experience of life is like being a strand of hair over a chasm of fire.
These pieces will be shown juxtaposed with their bronze form. The Alchemy of the fire repeated.
